Hand dyed cotton shawl using a traditional dye technique called Bandhani (tie dye). Very small dots of the cloth are tied with string to resist the dye. The white fabric is then dyed with natural indigo. The shawl has a interesting puckered texture due to the dye process. This lightweight cotton can be worn a a scarf too. A very nice weight for all seasons. 100% cotton with a metallic thread edging along each side and a row at each end- see detail shot.
Caution: Indigo will rub off a bit onto your clothing. Wear accordingly.
Size: approx. 36" x 72” with a fine twisted 2.5" fringe.
Care: dry clean to retain the texture.
