Description

Hand dyed cotton Bandhani scarf by Jabbar Khatri, an internationally acclaimed fold artist of Gujarat, India. Bandhani (tie dye) is a traditional dye technique where very small dots of the cloth are tied with string to resist the dye.  The white fabric is then dyed with natural indigo. The scarf has a slightly puckered texture due to the dye process. Can also be worn as a shawl. Colors- rich deep navy blue with stark white dot pattern. This is a hand dyed item and caution should be used when wearing light colored garments until certain all dye has been rinsed away.  Read more about Jabbar here.
