Embroidered pillow from a UNESCO Award of Excellence studio in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the fabled silk road, an ancient trade route linking the far east, Europe and north Africa. Hand embroidered silk on a satin-finish silk papaya colored ground cloth. Embroidery colors: sky blue and off white. The back is patterned with the ikat technique- colors cream, red orange, leaf green and sky blue with a zipper. 90/10 feather/down pillow insert. Stunning.
