Embroidered pillow from a UNESCO Award of Excellence studio in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the fabled silk road, an ancient trade route linking the far east, Europe and north Africa. Hand embroidered silk on a satin-finish aqua turquoise colored ground cloth. Embroidery colors:red, indigo blue, olive green, blue grey, light mauve, light peachy cream, and chalky leaf green, and pale blue green, black. The back is solid light grey colored cotton with a zipper. 90/10 feather/down pillow insert. Stunning.
