Embroidered pillow from a UNESCO Award of Excellence studio in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the fabled silk road, an ancient trade route linking the far east, Europe and north Africa. Hand embroidered silk on a satin-finish silk ground cloth - red brown color. Embroidery colors: Red, periwinkle blue, pale red clay, wheat, mint green, muted forest, lavender, black and cream. The back is ikat dyed gold and charcoal colored cotton with a zipper. 90/10 feather/down pillow insert. Stunning.
