Embroidered wall hanging from the studio of Sanjar Nazarov, a UNESCO Award of Excellence studio in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the fabled silk road, an ancient trade route linking the far east, Europe and north Africa. One-of-a-kind hand embroidered silk threads on a silk-satin ground cloth. The pattern references Lakai style embroidery, the once semi-nomadic people who traversed the ancient silk road. Colors: a rich and soothing medley of brick red, pale pinkish cream, yellow, pale mint, lime green and black sit atop a ground cloth of chalky pine. This would be a beautiful table runner.
