Handcrafted by women artisans from the Batoro tribe living in the very rural mountains of Western Uganda. These weaves are a part of a cooperative that provides training to single mothers. widows, and other marginalized women. Made from all natural, sustainably sourced raffia and banana fibers. Very sturdy. Large sturdy oval basket- great for storage or on the table top. Colors: shades of wheat to tan, black, red brown, light blue grey and off-white. Design may vary slightly as each is hand made.
