Handmade Hand Stitched Banjara Bag 3 India (18" w x27"t)

Product Description

Banjari Bag are created by the semi-nomadic Banjara people of the Kutch. This bag would hold tools and other important everyday objects. "Banjara" is derived from the Hindi word "Banjar" or barren, an apt description for the landscape where they live and tend their cattle. Before our 2020 trip to India, we hadn't seen these large bags. We love them! The indigo dyed fabric make this a rare piece. Covered with beautiful fine hand stitching. Older piece and worn. Beautiful hung on the wall.
Size: 18" wide x 27" at top.
Country of Origin: India
