Red and white reversible queen quilt from organic kala cotton:
Beautiful handwoven organic cotton. We are thrilled to be working with this group of weavers of the Kutch. We took the handwoven fabric to another family in the same area that made it into this quilt. Side A is a heathered looking combination of charcoal and natural white. Gussets with frayed seams, where the quilt drops off the edge of the bed, adds texture and interest. (See details.) Side B is a birds eye twill pattern in a charcoal and natural white also with frayed gusset seams. Hand woven organic kala cotton with hand quilted stitching.
We connected with this wonderful group of organic cotton weavers while traveling in Gujarat, India. Organic cotton is very beneficial for the environment as there are no chemicals or pesticides used to grow it and it takes less water than commercial cotton growing.
