Red and white king quilt from organic kala cotton:
Beautiful handwoven organic cotton. We are thrilled to be working with this group of weavers of the Kutch. We took the handwoven fabric to another family in the same area that made it into this quilt. Side A is a birds eye twill pattern in a rich red and natural white. Seamed where the quilt drops off the bed edge with the reverse side's pattern edging each side. (See details.) Side B is a stripe pattern in rich red and natural white. Hand woven organic kala cotton with hand quilted stitched.
We connected with this wonderful group of organic cotton weavers while traveling in Gujarat, India. Organic cotton is very beneficial for the environment as there are no chemicals or pesticides used to grow it and it takes less water than commercial cotton growing.
