A very unusual vintage Azilal hand knotted pile rug utilizing recycled mop threads, bits of fabric scraps and tailor’s extras too. Moroccans often place the rug pile side up in the winter time and the back or ‘rag rug’ side in the summer. Colors: the overall impressions is of blues, red and dark green. The palate is comprised of red, teal green, evergreen, navy, royal blue, navy blue, bright robins egg blue, dusty blue, bright pink, mauve, grey, off white, rust, lavender and purple. Mixed fibers. This makes a great wall piece as well as rug!
