Manta or blanket, handwoven from Peru. Woven in two panels, and seamed in the middle, this traditional Manta is a fine example of 4 selvedge weaving meaning there is no fringe, through her skilled hands the weaver encompasses all the warp threads in to the structure of the cloth. Very fine weaving. Colors: red, hot pink, orange, grey, olive, mustard, leaf green, forest green, deep purple and natural. There is writing we're not sure what it says- maybe the name of the artist. There is a purple cloth band sewn around the manta. Good vintage condition.
