Hand Embroidered Silk Wall Hanging/Table Runner D Uzbekistan
Embroidered silk wall hanging from the studio of Sanjar Nazarov, a UNESCO Award of Excellence studio in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the fabled silk road, an ancient trade route linking the far east, Europe and north Africa. One-of-a-kind hand embroidered silk threads on a silk-satin ground cloth. The pattern references Lakai style embroidery, the once semi-nomadic people who traversed the ancient silk road. Embroidery colors: chalky leaf green, pinkish cream, pale bluish cream, chalky pale pink, pale violet cream, pale yellow, Prussian blue, gold, and black that sit atop a silk ground cloth of deep red. This would be a table runner too.
