The Chef Shack co-creatives are James Beard finalists and offer a stellar Sunday brunch from 11-3. Wednesday through Saturday they serve lighter fare, outdoor eats from the food truck.

Rush River Produce – You Pick Blueberries & Currants July- Aug / Rural Maiden Rock (to the North)


Blueberries in biblical abundance along with red and black currants are offered for picking right off the bushes. Die-hard fruit pickers and happy families harvest sweet and juicy blueberries at the legendary Rush River Produce. The Cuddy family runs an out-of-the-way paradise at the end of a quiet road on top of a hill overlooking both the Rush River Valley and the Mississippi River.

Lake View Organic Farm is a certified organic farm located in the pastoral hills above the Rush River Valley and Lake Pepin. (Next door to Rush River Produce.) Lake View offers a wide array of farm-fresh products including sunflower oil, small-batch salad dressings, spice blends, grass-fed beef, CBD oils, balms and butters, and lots of other goodies.

Cultural Cloth is a social enterprise that works primarily with women artisans around the world who weave, quilt, embroider, stitch, hook, bead, print and dye handmade home décor and personal accessories.

The Nest Gallery in Maiden Rock, located across the street from the gas station, celebrates local and regional artists and craftspeople by providing a place to perch and sell their work. The Smiling Pelican Bakeshop / Downtown Maiden RockThis year, due to COVID, this not-to-be-missed bakery is open Saturday morning only for a bakery pop-up on their porch beginning at 9 a.m. All the favorites are pre-packaged and customers help themselves, take what they touch, tally their own bill then drop their payment in a bucket at the end of the line. Bring your own bag, please wear a mask, keep your social distance and enjoy the beautiful gardens!

Jenny Lind Bakery / Rural Maiden Rock (to the south)

The Jenny Lind Bakery, established in 1990, is located on a picturesque farm three miles south of Maiden Rock off County Road AA. Baked goods are hand formed and include yeast breads, cardamom rolls, Icelandic Almond rolls, scones, cookies and bars. In addition to finding Jenny Lind baked goods in regional shops, customers are welcomed at the farm on the first and third Saturday every month from June to December.

The Secret Heart Gallery / Downtown Maiden Rock

Artist/owner B.J. Christofferson of Secret Heart Gallery has created a shimmery space full of her original artwork inspired by Spanish Colonial art and Joseph Cornell. Her one-of-a-kind wall pieces are dioramas assembled from collage and 3-dimensional ephemera. Her porch is full of unique gifts and jewelry.
