Description

Soft hand spun and natural dyed hand woven  Merino Wool throw from weavers in Sallac, a tiny village in Peru who are among the finest backstrap loom weavers in the world. This throw has flat weave, brocade weave and ikat resist dyed areas (in a chakana pattern, the Inca cross).  A medley of sumptuous natural dyed yarns. Colors: sage, ochre, burgundy, fawn, medium indigo, brown and more. 

The narrow tubular woven edge along all four sides. It is woven after finishing the main weaving it is woven into the border attaching to one direction with the weft it is to protect the border and embellish the textile. The finest quality. We are honored to be representing these amazing weavers.
