Handwoven lightweight silk and cotton cloth. This is natural dyed. The Our guide brought us to Shyamji’s studio located down a dusty cow-path in Bhuj, the western part of the Kutch, India. Inside the family compound, women spun wool and cotton and dyers tended live vats of indigo buried in earthenware jugs submerged underground. The rhythmic ‘clack clack clack’ of the loom provided the soundscape. This is a nice lightweight coverlet on a single or double bed. There is silk brocade at each end and in the middle.Colors: shades of teal green, blue and indigo with goldish wheat. Very elegant. This fabric can be used as a table cloth or a throw also.
