Custom designed West Bengal Kantha depicting birds, flowers, paisleys with a central mandala design, We commissioned this from a fair trade group of artisans in eastern India. Hand stitched embroidery on white cotton ground cloth. The detail in the embroidery is stunning! Three layers of lightweight white cotton are stitched together with patterns of white stitches. Colors: red, navy blue, medium grey, buttercup yellow and black. Signed by the artist.
